Leeward Capital is building an institutional-grade platform for the issuance, custody, and over-the-counter trading of tokenised securities and real-world assets in the United Kingdom.
Our objective is to bring the efficiency, transparency, and programmability of distributed ledger technology to regulated capital markets, within an established legal and compliance framework.
We are currently in pre-launch and preparing for regulatory authorisation.
An overview of the capabilities our platform is designed to offer across the full lifecycle of a tokenised security, from issuance through to secondary liquidity. These descriptions are indicative of our proposed functionality, reflect our current intentions, and are subject to change as the platform develops and as we progress through regulatory authorisation.
End-to-end issuance and lifecycle management of tokenised securities and real-world assets, including corporate actions, cap-table administration, and transfer controls, designed to operate on a compliant, institutional-grade rail with regulatory requirements embedded from the outset.
Request-for-quote and over-the-counter execution designed for professional and institutional participants, with workflows intended to support price discovery, bilateral settlement, and best-execution standards appropriate to a regulated venue.
Flexible custody arrangements, spanning self-custody and optional platform-hosted wallets, with institutional safeguards. Client asset protections are intended to be delivered in conjunction with appropriately regulated third-party providers.
Streamlined KYC and AML onboarding for both individual and institutional investors, with identity verification, sanctions screening, and suitability assessment built into the platform from the outset rather than added as an afterthought.
Leeward Capital is being designed to serve three principal participant groups.
Our intended focus is on professional and institutional participants, consistent with the regulatory perimeter within which we expect to operate.
Our platform is designed around the full lifecycle of a tokenised security. An asset or security is structured and onboarded, with the relevant legal, compliance, and disclosure requirements established before issuance. The instrument is then tokenised and issued to verified investors, with ownership recorded and transfer controls enforced at the protocol level.
Throughout the life of the instrument, the platform is intended to administer corporate actions, distributions, and reporting. Where permitted, holders may seek liquidity through request-for-quote and over-the-counter execution, with settlement and custody handled within the platform's institutional framework.
At each stage, compliance and investor protection are intended to be integral to the process rather than supplementary to it.
Tokenisation applies distributed ledger technology to the representation, transfer, and administration of securities and real-world assets. It has the potential to reduce settlement times, lower operational cost, improve transparency, and broaden access to instruments that have historically been difficult to issue, hold, or trade efficiently.
Leeward Capital's view is that these benefits are most durable when delivered within an established regulatory framework rather than outside it. Our intention is to combine the operational advantages of tokenisation with the legal certainty, investor protection, and governance standards expected of UK capital markets infrastructure.
